Track is from Stan Kenton "Artistry in Jazz" Album... Blues in Riff Track Recorded Feb. 5, 1950
Album notes: Blues in Riff is a Rugolo study in "cool" strongly reminiscent of Ray Wetzel's classic "Intermission Riff". This twelve bar blues with advanced harmonies served in 1950 to introduce via soloists Pepper, Rogers and Cooper, the "cool" concept to the band's library. It is the only track in this album which has been previously released on Capitol records.
