James Marler (lead vocal/guitar), Chris Colombo (lead guitar) and Jason Rhein (percussion and baby whispering) from Rotary Downs entertain some passersby with "Tall Afar", from their album "Cracked Maps & Blue Reports".
It's so very New Orleans to have someone drift by, request a tune, and then strum one right back to you -- as this man did, delivering a rather earnest "Stormy Monday" once Rotary Downs had played their original tune for him.
Shot down near the Mississippi River on the Algiers side of the water near the Ferry, with the Greater New Orleans Bridge in the background.
This video is the "B-Side" to their performance of "Vampires/Werewolves", available here:
Recorded in April of 2010. "The Bridge Sessions" crew : Directed by Karina Mackenzie.
Rotary Downs released Cracked Maps & Blue Reports in the Spring of 2010, and won "Best Rock Album" by Offbeat Magazine.
