This is the first radio station in Ithaca, the station "returned" to FM in 2010 thanks to a 200-watt translator at 95.9 FM, which covers a good portion of the station's core audience around Ithaca, NY. The "original" WHCU-FM became WYXL in 1986, and remains "Lite Rock 97.3"
